Six caterpillars and three weeks later, finally the last one has transformed into a butterfly.
Five minutes before emerging, the cocoon has grown transparent.

A few seconds after emerging, the butterfly found a spot to attach itself. He is all wrinkled and he looks very fragile

The drying time had started. The butterfly stayed in this position for a couple of hours, slowly stretching its wings, legs, antenaes.

An hour later, I placed the butterfly outside in a well protected area: the umbrella tree near my window.

It is a cool morning (only 15C). The butterfly took three hours before finally flying away.
